Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Not Coming West, English Version Now Asia Exclusive

Koei Tecmo has confirmed that the beach volley game Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 for PS Vita and PS4 won’t be released in the west.

On November 18, 2015, the Official Dead or Alive Facebook page has responded to the question “Any words of bringing the upcoming Xtreme 3 Game to US and EU regions or no?” with the following words:

We do not bring DOAX3 to the west and won’t have any plan change in the future. Thank you for asking.

Later on, the Official Facebook page has posted the reason for this decision:

Do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision. Thank you.

Only yesterday, Koei Tecmo officially confirmed via Twitter that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 won’t be released in the west and if you want to play the game, you can import the English version from Play-Asia.

So if you were hoping for a western release, these wishes have not been granted. But as Koei Tecmo has mentioned, you still can order the Asia Exclusive English subtitled version for the PS Vita and PS4 directly from Play-Asia.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus for PS Vita and Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune for PS4 will be released in Japan on March 24, 2016 and in Asia with English, Chinese and Japanese subtitles in March 2016.
