I Am Setsuna Not Coming To The PS Vita In The West

Today, Square Enix has announced that I Am Setsuna is not coming to the PS Vita in the west. The title is slated for digital release this summer only on PS4 and Steam.

I Am Setsuna was released as Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna for the PS Vita and PS4 in Japan on February 18, 2016 both physically and digitally.

After skipping the localization of Spelunker World and Adventures of Mana, I Am Setsuna is the third title that Square Enix brings to other platforms in the west while abandoning the PS Vita version.

I Am Setsuna is the first title led by director Atsushi Hashimoto and aims to capture the narrative depth, impactful storytelling and masterful character development inspired by the golden era of Japanese role-playing games featuring a battle system inspired by the classic hit Chrono Trigger.

If you still want to play I Am Setsuna on your PS Vita, you only can import the Japanese version which is available via the online retailer Play-Asia.

I am probably missing something here, but if it is being localized for Steam and PS4 why the heck not on the Vita? They already have the translation..
