New Danganronpa V3 Gets New Screenshots Introducing Academy For Gifted Prisoners

Spike Chunsoft has released new screenshots and details for New Danganronpa V3 for PS Vita and PS4 via its official website.

New Danganronpa V3 is set in the Academy for Gifted Prisoners, a school created for the mutual killing game of 16 “Super High School Level” students. Various facilities exist within the school, like a warehouse filled with goods, a dining hall connected to the kitchen, a game room and research classrooms for the talents of each student.

A special encouragement plan called the “Gifted System” was established by the government to nurture the gifted youth of the nation. The chosen students are known as “Super High School Level” students who are granted various special rights like subsidy, suffrage and elibility for election.

There are 14 strict school regulations. Students who violate them, will be disposed by the high mobility humanoid murder weapon called “Exisal”. Each of the five differented colored weapons have a Monokuma aboard.

The game’s story is told in chapters. In each of them, a murder will occur and you only continue to the next chapter after you discovered the murderer. Investigation parts start after the murder happened and a body was discovered. At the location of the murder, you gather information from other students and the evidence required to solve the case.

Main plot elements like the students plotting to escape the school and Monokuma promoting the mutual killing game to the students are parts of the daily life. Between story progression, you will have free time to roam the school and interact with other characters.

During Class Trials, you will use the gathered evidence to try and pinpoint the blackened. The “Super High School Level” students will debate from various angles even using wrong information or guesses. The goal of the Class Trials is to discover the truth of the incident and to uncover the students’ inconsistencies. The gathered evidence from the investigation part can be used as “Truth Bullets”. When shooting the correct Truth Bullets at the appearing inconsistencies, you will be able to proceed the debate.

New Danganronpa V3 will be released for the PS Vita and PS4 in Japan on January 12, 2017.
