Metroidvania Adventure Forma.8 Arriving In Early 2017

Italian indie developer MixedBag Games has revealed that development of its metroidvania adventure Forma.8 is finished and that they plan to release it in February 2017.

Forma.8 is an open world action-adventure where a small exploration probe accidentally stranded on a mysterious alien planet. Being all on its own, the little probe has to find and recover a powerful energy source deep under the surface to be able to survive. Ancient civilizations, great perils and dystopian visions awaits him, and nothing is what it seems.

Forma.8 starts with no powers and weapons and it’s up to the player to explore the planet with its often hostile inhabitants. There is no verbal communication in the game, everything is conveyed only with images and sounds. The world is made of hand drawn vector graphics with 3D elements and features fully physics based interaction with the environment, all running in super fluid 60 frames per second. During the adventure, Forma.8 will discover power-ups that he can take care of all the enemies he encounters on the alien planet.

Forma.8 will be released for PS Vita, PS4, Wii U and XBox One.
