First Look At Handball 16 On The PS Vita

Handball 16 is now available for the PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 in North America and Europe. We take a first look at the PS Vita version of the handball simulation.

Handball 16 includes three different game modes (Career, Season, Local Match) and features all the 62 official handball teams from the four biggest European leagues LNH (France), TKB Handball Bundesliga (Germany), Liga Asobal (Spain) and the Boxer Herreligaen (Denmark).

In the game’s Career Mode you can create your own avatar to play career mode matches. Customizable options include name, number, birth date, position, appearance (skin color, hair, beard, etc.) and special equipments.

Career points can be earned by playing matches or accomplishing different challenges. The number of career points you can earn depends on whether you win, lose or draw a match and if you are in a high- or low-level team and on the level of difficulty of the challenge. Career points can be used to increase the 6 different available skills: stamina, shot, speed, block, comprehension and popularity.

Other teams will be able to make you recruitment offers to join a higher-level team and progress more quickly.

In the game mode Season you can choose the league you want and play for an entire season without earning career points, no challenges and no recruitment offers. In the Local Match Mode you can play a single match against the computer.

In the options menu you can change the type of the camera (Action/TV), activate or deactivate certain game rules, set the duration of the default match, the volume and the commentary language.
