Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey Gets Its First Screenshots

Gust has released the first screenshots and new details for the recently announced Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey for PS Vita and PS4.

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey focuses on traveling and features the two main characters Firis Mistlud, a young girl at the age of 15 who never left the town, and her older sister Liane Mistlud as her travel partner.

Firis works as a miner in an underground mining town as she has a special ability to find out where ore is buried. As her desire grows to leave the town, she starts to study alchemy and with the support of her sister Liane, soon she is granted to travel outside with the condition to become a full-fledged alchemist in one year.

The two girls will face various challenges and meet first time wonders and discoveries, all set in a vast world with a variety of faces like great plains and snowy mountains. Depending on the location, Firis’ outfit will change to suite the climate of the region.

To perform synthesis while traveling , Firis needs a “Traveler’s Bonfire” which is available in various places to create new items with the gathered materials. These newly created items can be used to repel the monsters she will encounter during the material collection.

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey will be released for the PS Vita and PS4 in Japan in fall 2016.
