Defender’s Quest Coming Soon To PS Vita, Physical Release Announced

Level Up Labs has announced that the PS Vita version of Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten DX is currently in certification with Sony and that chances are good that it will release this month.

The PS Vita version will be cross-buy and cross-save with the PS4 version meaning that if you buy the game on either platform, you will get the other version for free, and that you can transfer your save files between PS Vita and PS4 via Sony’s online cloud storage. Both versions share the same trophy set, including a Platinum trophy.

Level Up Labs also revealed that they will be doing a physical release with Limited Run Games for PS Vita and PS4. There will be two alternate covers for the physical editions, one featuring Azra and the other one featuring “The Golden Man.”

The PSVita version will have the same features and content as the PS4 version of the game, with the following modifications:

  • More limited graphics options (because of file size restrictions, etc)
  • Some effects have been toned down
  • 30 FPS (PS4 60 FPS)
  • Max battle speed multiplier capped at x8 (all other builds are x16 max)
  • Bonus Endless Battle 2 is capped at 100 waves

Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten DX is a tower-defense/RPG hybrid. The game focuses on three things: tactical depth, customization, and story. That means no random encounters, no spikey-haired emo kids, no forced time sinks, and no tedious, repetitive battles.
