Sony Will End Physical PS Vita Games Production In March 2019

Sony will end physical production of PS Vita games in North America and Europe in March 2019, Kotaku has learned.

While the production of physical Vita games will stop, the digital distribution will continue, Sony confirmed.

In an email to developers, the company revealed its plans to end all Vita gamecard production for American and European branches by close of fiscal year 2018. In this email, Sony asks developers to submit Vita product requests by June 28, 2018, and final purchase orders by February 15, 2019. Sony’s 2018 fiscal year will end on March 31, 2019.

Sony confirmed in an e-mail to Kotaku that PS Vita gamecard production is coming to an end.
