13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim PS Vita Version Cancelled, Now PS4-Only

Atlus has announced that 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim for PS Vita has been cancelled and that it will now only be released for PS4.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim was planned to release in Japan in 2018 but has been delayed to a still to be announced date.

The reason for the cancellation of the PS Vita version and the delay of the PS4 version is to concentrate on compatible platforms and to improve the game’s quality.

Directed by George Kamitani, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a “dramatic adventure” that follows 13 protagonists made up of boys and girls who pilot robots to fight against their fate of unavoidable destruction.

Aww man. I was looking forward to this one. I mean, it’s not unexpected, but I’m still sad about it

    I give up.
You win Sony, I tried to keep your handheld alive but you fucking killed it
Thanks a fucking lot, this was the shittiest year I’ve had in gaming for a long, *long* time

Marketing reality has changed. Just type pushsquare Sony is not solely to blame for the demise of vita on Google. Sammy knows that the marketing wasn’t really there with the Vita or any sony handheld in general.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a optional hybrid console that works with the PS5 to make up for that or in the hands of portable hybrid cloud streaming.

The memory cards were the only thing that kept consumers from buying the system which is why it failed because of piracy.

It’s best if you enjoy the switch for now until Sony tries again with some sort of portable in the form of a a companion device to PS5.

Sony is not “solely” to blame but they are a very large reason for it.
        >Google
Not sure what relevance this really has to this. But yes, Sony didn’t effectively market the Vita at all and gave up on it very quickly, and yes some shit like the memory cards were inherently flawed but could’ve been compensated by other methods. Everything they did this year basically killed all the momentum, life and heart the Vita had, and believe me there was at least enough for a dedicated niche to survive before the rapid fire shit that had hit this year by them.
I’m not going to be touching the Switch for 2 years or so. I prefer dedicated handhelds over the hybrid that the Switch is.

Future is in streaming portable tablets or devices. Take it or leave it. Even Microsoft is interested introducing the xCloud so I think Sony will try to compete in that front despite copying from Nintendo since the Super PlayStation that Sony has worked on with partnership of Nintendo but Sony decided to go their own way.

Think a out those days and you will sre why Sony copies what Nintendo or any innovater has been doing for a decade. It’s nothing new now and you have to get used to it unfortunately.

Well, I’ll just leave it then.
Though who’s innovating and introducing the streaming technology for video games? I’ve only heard that EA wants to do it, but I’ve heard nothing about Nintendo or anyone else major. Regardless, I would hope that doesn’t end up happening

Devs say they welcome it so PS5 and Xbox Scarlett will fill that void.

Not sure if Nintendo will respond to that by releasing a powerful revision of the switch.
