Smite: Battleground of the Gods Now Free-To-Play On Nintendo Switch

Hi-Rez Studios today announced that Smite: Battleground of the Gods is now free-to-play on the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch players can play one of 100 iconic Gods from around the world in smooth 60 frames per second. Also, players will not need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to experience the multiplayer game modes.

Smite is the first and only online battle arena on five major platforms: PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation 4, and, now, the Nintendo Switch. The game also recently introduced cross-play and cross-progression. PC, Xbox, and Switch players will be able to play with and against each other on the Battleground of the Gods. Additionally, when players link their accounts, they will be able to use their unlocked Gods, skins, and progression across all currently supported platforms.

Smite is a free-to-play experience with no pay-to-win mechanics. Players can purchase skins to customize their roster. All characters can be unlocked through in-game currency, and Smite offers the Ultimate God Pack, which gives players all current and future playable Gods for one price. This includes the latest additions Arthur and Merlin, as well as Jormungandr, The World Serpent, coming soon to Smite.
