PS Vita Production Officially Ended

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that PS Vita production has officially ended.

The last two available PS Vita models in Japan, the Black PS Vita and the Aqua Blue PS Vita, are now listed with the note “shipments ended” on the official Japanese PlayStation website.

Retailers in Japan and Asia now can only sell the remaining PS Vita models they are having in stock. If you still want to get hold of a PS Vita, Playasia has the Black PS Vita and the Aqua Blue PS Vita currently available. But better be quick as no one knows how long the stock will last.

In September 2018, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that it will end production of the PS Vita in Japan in 2019. As Sony has no plans for a new handheld console, the PS Vita could be the last PlayStation portable console ever made.
