The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Atelier Lydie & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting will be coming to PS Vita, PS4 and Nintendo Switch this winter in Japan.
Atelier Lydie & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting features the protagonists Liddy Marlen, a quiet person, and her younger and more energetic sister Sour Marlen. The twin sisters run a smaller atelier in Melveille, the capital city of the Adalett Kingdom. One day they discover that one of the paintings has a mysterious world within.
The latest Atelier game is an adventure that takes place inside a painting. The synthesis system is basically the same as in Atelier Firis but has evolved with the introduction of “activation items.” Battles consist of three pairs of characters for up to six characters in a party. While the front characters can be controlled by the player, the rear characters will take actions automatically. Characters will be able to use combos with some flashy special effects.
Synthesis during battle is called “Battle Mix” which allows the player to instantly create a new item with the items in possession. As the player’s Atelier Rank rises, the paintings that can be entered will also rise.
Atelier Lydie & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting will be released for PS Vita, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan this winter for 6,300 yen on PS Vita, and for 7,300 yen on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. A limited edition will also be available for 9,300 yen (PS Vita) and 10,300 yen (PS4/Nintendo Switch).
